- Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013

Any VO / NGO which is registered as a trust/ society/ a private limited nonprofit company, under section-25 Company of the Indian Companies Act, 1956 can Sign Up on the NGO Darpan .
To be eligible for NITI Aayog registration, your organization must meet the following criteria:
- It must be a VO or NGO that is registered with the government of India.
- It must be working in a social or developmental sector.
- It must have a sound financial management system.
- It must have a proven track record of working in the field.
The following documents are required for NITI Aayog registration:
- A copy of your organization’s registration certificate
- A copy of your organization’s financial statements
- A copy of your organization’s work plan
- A copy of your organization’s board of directors’ resolution to register with NITI Aayog
- A copy of your organization’s PAN card
- A copy of the PAN cards of your organization’s key personnel
To register with NITI Aayog, you must visit the NGO Darpan website. You can create an account and fill out the registration form. You will need to upload the required documents. Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will be issued a Unique ID. This Unique ID is required to apply for government grants and schemes.
There is no deadline for NITI Aayog registration. However, it is recommended that you register as soon as possible to take advantage of the benefits of being a registered VO or NGO.
