The Indian tax system changed in 2017 when the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced. It replaced many old taxes like VAT, service tax, and excise duty. What is the GST Registration Process for Doctors?

Step 1: Check Eligibility

If you expect annual revenue above ₹20 lakh (or ₹10 lakh in special category states), you must register. Even if you’re below threshold, voluntary registration is allowed, and often beneficial.

Step 2: Gather Documentation

You’ll need:

Aadhaar or PAN of proprietors/partners/directors
